Oil Analysis
An Often Neglected but Invaluable Service
Oil analysis is used to assess the longevity of your equipment and the oil within.
Maintenance is often neglected in an industry where constant growth and expansion is valued above all, but an industry can only grow if it has a solid foundation on which to plant it's seeds. New projects will be delayed or abandoned entirely if the existing core breaks down.
Oil analysis not only reveals the problems that exist within a machine and its lubrication system, but can also provide a forecast for the problems that may arise in the future. Taking a small sample can be the difference between a delay of a few hours or a few months.

What We Look For
The Key Indicators
There are several key indicators that are cause for concern.
Oil that has been contaminated by dust, water or fuel or metal byproducts can degrade the lifespan of oil by 50 -70%. Without checkups or maintenance poorly lubricated equipment, which is only addressed after a catastrophic failure, or otherwise increasing wear and prematurely aging equipment.
We look for the dielectric strength, acidity, moisture content, Interfacial tension, corrosive sulfur, particle count, metal content and furanic compounds.
We Look for Signs of:
-
Oxidation
-
High Moisture Content
- Overheating
- Lightning Strike (Rare)
- Severe, Local Overheating
- Machine Wear
- Degradation Products
- Oil Decay Products

Why Check your Oil?
Don't Hope. Know.
Most issues affecting machines are preventable.
Detect and deal with the small issues before they become big problems.
Prevent and reduce unscheduled maintenance, downtime and loss of productivity.
Extend the lifespan of your equipment and save on costly replacements.
Reduce your maintenance, energy and renewal costs.
Maintain higher quality lubricant to avoid the need for constant regreasing.
