THORDON VERTICAL PUMP BEARINGS

Thordon Bearings offers the industry's most complete range of oil and grease-free vertical pump bearings. Our elastomer grades provide the perfect balance of strength, stiffness, flexibility, and elasticity, along with excellent abrasion resistance for reliable performance in demanding applications.

For even higher temperatures and pressures, Thordon thermoplastic grades are the ideal solution, offering superior chemical resistance and the ability to withstand harsher operating conditions. Whether for standard or high-performance needs, Thordon vertical pump bearings deliver long-lasting, maintenance-free operation, enhancing efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
THORPLAS-BLUE

ThorPlas-Blue is an engineered thermoplastic designed for high-performance applications. It is capable of dry start-up and can withstand design pressures up to 45 MPa (6,527 psi). This material operates effectively in water and chemicals up to 80°C (230°F), and in dry conditions, it can perform at temperatures up to 100°C (230°F).
In non-abrasive environments, ThorPlas-Blue exhibits very low wear rates, making it an ideal choice for demanding, maintenance-free applications.

THORPLAS-WHITE

ThorPlas-White is NSF/ANSI 61 and WRAS approved for drinking water applications, and NSF/ANSI 51 certified for food equipment. It features a low coefficient of friction, low wear, and excellent dry-run capability thanks to built-in lubricants. Easy to install and machine, it produces no dust during handling, making it a safe and efficient choice for high-quality applications.

THORDON SXL

Thordon SXL is the preferred choice for dry start-up capability, with a low dry coefficient of friction of 0.10-0.20. It can handle working pressures up to 12 MPa (1,740 psi) and is highly resistant to abrasion, shock loading, and vibration. SXL is versatile, performing reliably in both wet and dry conditions.

THORDON COMPOSITE (GM2401)

Thordon Composite is engineered for highly abrasive water environments. Compared to rubber, it is stiffer, offers at least twice the abrasion resistance, and has a lower coefficient of friction. Easy to install and water-lubricated (no grease required), Composite helps reduce maintenance downtime, providing a reliable, low-maintenance solution for demanding applications.

THORDON HPSXL

Thordon HPSXL offers superior resistance to shock and vibration and features the lowest dry coefficient of friction among all Thordon bearings. While moderately resistant to abrasives, it is capable of handling working pressures up to 15 MPa (2,175 psi), making it an ideal choice for high-performance, demanding applications.

THORDON SXL TRAXL & THORDON HPSXL TRAXL

Thordon SXL TRAXL and Thordon HPSXL TRAXL feature Thordon’s advanced bearings housed in a metallic carrier for enhanced strength in high-pressure applications. The TRAXL system uses a thin, 2mm (1/16”) layer of bearing material to protect the bearing from deformation, making it ideal for environments with extreme pressures of up to 70 MPa (10,000 psi).

THORDON XL

Thordon XL offers exceptional longevity and a low coefficient of friction, making it highly resistant to abrasion. It delivers optimum performance in clean water applications, providing reliable, long-lasting operation with minimal maintenance.
